Yoga Classes
The College has recently introduced Hatha Yoga classes with the Yoga Den School of Yoga.
The teachers at the Yoga Den participate in regular classes and work shops with senior teachers Tanya Levy, White Lotus Centre. And when visiting Australia, Master teacher Shandor Remete.
The Yoga Den being the chosen name of this school as it is named after the term "den" - a den being a quiet place where one is able to find solitude. The character that represents the Yoga Den is taken from the Japanese word stating the Way. At the Yoga Den, one will learn the way of moving their body and limbs in a coordinated fashion with one's breath, inhalation and exhalation.
This focus will assist one to go inwards during the practice. The synergy between asana and breath will allow the body to become strong yet supple and the mind quieten. (We move into silence).
Sessions cost $16 for the general public, and $12 for students of EastWest College and concession card holders. A reward card applies to all classes. Sessions times starting from 28 July:
